New flooring, a lowered ceiling or a bathroom update starts with samples from the rooms being changed. The survey covers only that area.

Remodeling an older mobile or manufactured home? Test it first. We sample the ceiling, floor and wall materials your project will touch, then remove what comes back positive and haul it to a permitted landfill.
Manufactured homes sit inside Oregon’s definition of a residential building. A pre-2004 home therefore needs the same survey as a stick-built house before a renovation or teardown. We serve owners in Gresham, Wood Village and Oregon City.

New flooring, a lowered ceiling or a bathroom update starts with samples from the rooms being changed. The survey covers only that area.
A rented manufactured home doesn’t get the owner-occupant allowances. The survey, licensed removal and DEQ notice all apply.
If the home is going to be demolished, an accredited survey of the whole home comes first, even if the owner lives in it.
If you own the home and live in it, you can renovate without a survey and do your own removal without a license. DEQ recommends a survey anyway and strongly recommends against removing asbestos yourself. Either way, the waste must be double-bagged, labeled and taken to a permitted landfill with a shipment form.
Begin with asbestos testing and surveys, or return to the home page.
